Southeastern state of Anambra, Nigeria, has officially become full fledged Oil State that will get 13% derivation henceforth, Platforms Africa can report authoritatively.
A letter of approval, exclusively obtained by Platforms Africa, which the Revenues Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) sent to Sir Willie Obiano, Governor of the state, reiterated the approval of six oil wells for the state.

The oil wells, according to a report by Platforms Africa, are the Nzam-1 Oil well; the Alo-1 oil well, and the Ogbu-1 oil well.


Others are the Ameshi 1,2,3 and 4 oil wells, and the Enyie 1,2,3 and 4 oil wells.
The commission also approved the attribution of Anambra River 1,2 and 3 oil wells on a 50:50 percentage basis between Anabra and Kogi states.

The letter dated August 24, 2021, and signed by Secretary to the Commission, Mr. M.B Sheu, also mentioned the time state’s account will be credited with oil money.
The letter with reference number RMC/O&G/48/VOL/I/55; according to Platforms reads; “I wish to refer to your letter dated 24th March, 2021, on the above subject and to inform you that the Commission at its 139th plenary session held on 27 th July, 2021, approved the attributions of the following oil wells to Anambra state.
1. Nzam-1 Oil well
2. Alo-1 oil well
3. Ogbu-1 oil well
4. Ameshi 1,2,3 and 4 oil wells
5. Enyie 1,2,3 and 4 oil wells
“Furthermore, the commission also approved the attribution of Anambra River 1,2 and 3 oil wells on a 50:50 percentage basis between Anabra and Kogi states pending the final delineation of the boundary between the two states.”
